Beef Cheeseburger with Arugula and Caramelized Onions Recipe

This juicy beef burger is topped with melted cheddar cheese, peppery arugula and sweet caramelised onions. It's the ideal meal for any burger fan.

Ingredients

Time Needed

  • Prep Time: 15 minutes
  • Cook Time: 20 minutes
  • Total Time: 35 minutes

Instructions

  • Preheat a skillet to medium-high.
  • Make four equal portions of ground beef and shape them into patties.
  • Season each patty on both sides with salt and pepper.
  • Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are done to your liking.
  • Heat the olive oil in a separate pan over medium heat.
  • Sauté the sliced onions in the pan for about 10-15 minutes, or until they are caramelised.
  • Stir in the balsamic vinegar to combine it with the onions.
  • Place a patty on the bottom half of each bun to make the burgers.
  • Place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty, followed by a handful of arugula.
  • Distribute the caramelised onions among the four burgers.
  • Serve immediately with the remaining half of the bun on top of each burger.
