Bacon and Egg Cheeseburger on a Pretzel Bun Recipe

On a soft and chewy pretzel bun, enjoy the delicious combination of a classic cheeseburger, crispy bacon, and a fried egg. This dish is suitable for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

  • Prep Time: 15 minutes
  • Cook Time: 20 minutes
  • Total Time: 35 minutes

Instructions

  • In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the bacon until crispy.
  • Set aside after removing from the pan.
  • Make four equal portions of ground beef and shape into patties.
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side on a grill or in a skillet over medium-high heat, or until fully cooked.
  • During the last minute of cooking, top each patty with a slice of cheddar cheese.
  • Cut the pretzel buns in half and lightly toast them.
  • Melt 1 teaspoon butter in a separate skillet over medium heat.
  • Crack an egg into the skillet and cook until done to your liking.
  • Repeat with the remaining eggs, each time adding 1 teaspoon of butter to the skillet.
  • Spread a tablespoon of mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun before assembling the burgers.
  • Serve with a lettuce leaf and a tomato slice on top.
  • Add a cheese patty and a slice of bacon.
  • Top each patty with a fried egg.
  • Finish with the pretzel bun's top half.
